CranioSacral Study Groups

Study groups give you an opportunity to sharpen your skills and deepen your understanding of CranioSacral Therapy while networking with other CST therapists worldwide. Prior attendance at the appropriate-level class is required.

Participants will have the opportunity to:

  • Review the anatomy and physiology of the craniosacral system

  • Explore the relationship between the craniosacral system and illness, pain and dysfunction

  • Practice performing the 10-Step Protocol

  • Practice mouth work and sphenoid releases

  • Effectively release fascial restrictions

  • Deepen your knowledge about cranial nerves and neuroanatomy related to the craniosacral system

  • Better understand the immune system and how to use CST for addressing immune dysfunction

  • Explore the concepts and practice working with energy cysts, facilitated segments, and SomatoEmotional Release

  • Gain confidence and strengthen your skills in using therapeutic imagery and dialoging to support a client's emotional release process

My online study groups utilize the Zoom meeting platform. Be sure you have downloaded the Zoom application prior to your first online study group and that you are a registered Zoom user with a free account. Meetings typically begin at 1 PM Pacific (California) time unless otherwise noted.

Because space is limited in the in-person study groups, prepayment is required to hold your spot.

Anatomy

Anatomy Study Group:
Ethmoid Bone

May 19, 2026

Click here to register.

The ethmoid bone is one of the most uniquely shaped bones of the neurocranium. It sits in the anterior cranial fossa sandwiched by the frontal bone, and extends downward into the orbits of the eyes and nasal passages.

On May 19, we'll dive deeper into the anatomy of this unique structure and see how it can impact the dural venous sinuses, eyesight, smelling, the immune system, and more! We discuss its detailed anatomy and function, including . . .

* Embryologic development of the ethmoid

* Articulations to other cranial bones

* Soft tissue and membranous associations, including dural venous sinuses and meninges

* Neurologic and vascular associations

We will also cover . . .

* The role it plays in draining cerebrospinal fluid out of the cranium

* It's relationship to neuroinflammation and the immune system

* It's key function in the olfactory system (smelling)

* Conditions that might arise if there's a problem or restriction with the ethmoid

* How to palpate and blend with the ethmoid

WHO WILL BENEFIT?

Here, we add another osseous structure to our studies of what makes up the neurocranium -- the boney container for the brain. This is an excellent follow-on to our other anatomy study groups that looked at the occiput, sphenoid, temporal, parietal, and frontal bones.

NOTE: These study groups provide an anatomy review only and do not address specific CST techniques.

There is a $25 fee (U.S. funds) for participation in this study group. You will receive Category B Mentorship credit if you're tracking time for that. Also, I will record the call so you will have access to it afterward or if you can not join us live. Online viewing will be available for 60 days.
